The Mamaroneck School District serves the Village of Larchmont, almost all of the Town of Mamaroneck, and half of the Village of Mamaroneck. Once the location of summer residences for wealthy New York City families, Larchmont and Mamaroneck, with six miles of shoreline, provide its citizens with many beaches, parks and marinas. The annual events offered by these Long Island Sound communities include the Emelin Street Fair, an Antique Car Show, parades, July 4th fireworks and a youth fishing derby.
