The Town of Milan is a rural community located at the northern edge of Dutchess County. The area that comprises Milan today was the western part of the Little Nine Partners Patent of 1706. Milan was established from part of the Town of North East in March of 1818. There are many lovely roads and picturesque views. The town is a combination of farmland and private residences. Milan is home to the 615-acre Wilcox Memorial Park, formerly the estate and farm of Mrs. Frederick P. Wilcox and the Hudson Valley Raptor Center, a sanctuary for birds of prey.
