Points of Interest

The Pleasantville School District serves the municipalities of Mount Pleasant and Pocantico Hills. Founded by Dutch Settlers in 1695, Pleasantville is everything its name implies. Compact and picturesque, with a turn-of-the-century atmosphere, The Town of Mount Pleasant covers 28 square miles of rolling hills, beautifully wooded areas, ample open space, and town and county parklands. It also has industrial parks, which house the headquarters of several major corporations. The area is home to Pace University and the Jacob Burns Film Center.
