The Putnam Valley Central School District serves the municipality of Putnam Valley. Nestled in the foothills of the Taconic Mountains lies the picturesque town of Putnam Valley. Known as the “Town of Lakes.” The largest of these is 430-acre Lake Oscawana which borders Fahnstock Park (600 acres of protected parkland). Housing varies from small summer retreats to ultra-modern dwellings. A few early restored Victorian and Colonial homesteads remain. Putnam Valley is a town rich in history and new in spirit. It has much to offer those who enjoy country life.
