Points of Interest

The Rye City School District serves the municipalities of Rye and half of the Village of Mamaroneck. Rye City is “a little city” blessed with an abundance of natural resources: two miles of coastline on Long Island Sound, marine vistas, and a wealth of trees. There has been careful development of some corporate headquarters and office buildings on the city’s perimeter. A variety of distinctive shops, boutiques and services form an attractive downtown shopping area on its tree-lined streets. Playland, a designated National Historic Landmark, is located in Rye.
