Points of Interest
In 1848, James and Walter Brewster acquired what comprises the Village of Brewster, located within the Town of Southeast. In 1849, the railroad was finished, a depot built and Main Street was opened. Today, with its close proximity to major highways and surrounded by reservoirs, Brewster remains the “Hub of the Harlem Valley” with its charming turn-of-the-century architecture and easy access to and from the area.
