The Village of Dobbs Ferry, incorporated with the Town of Greenburgh in 1873, is a lovely mixture of homes and neighborhoods. There are the homes of Villard Hill, with their splendid river views, and the picturesque area of Riverview Manor with its winding roads and grand, stately, turn-of-the-century village homes. Located on the Hudson River overlooking the Tappan Zee Bridge and the Palisades, Dobbs Ferry is only 20 miles north of New York City.  
 
Educational Facilities
Public schools are Springhurst Elementary, grades K-4, Dobbs Ferry Middle School, grades 5-8 and the Dobbs Ferry High School, grades 9-12. The parochial school is Our Lady of Victory, grades 9-12 for girls. The Masters School, a private girls' school, Alcott Montessori Pre School and Mercy College are also in Dobbs Ferry. Recreational Facilities
Dobbs Ferry maintains Gould Park with community pool, as well as Memorial Park and Waterfront Park with marina. Numerous teams are active in the village, including baseball, basketball, bowling, swimming and tennis, an after- school center is also available. The Ardsley Country Club in Dobbs Ferry has a golf course of championship length and quality. The St. Andrew's Golf Club in Hastings is just south of Dobbs Ferry and the Juhring Estate, a greenbelt, offers 75 acres of undeveloped land for hiking and nature studies.
