With only 3000 households and under 10,000 population, Philipstown offers a uniquely small town experience within its 15 square miles.   Educational Facilities The Garrison Union Free School offers kindergarten through eighth grade with an average class size of 17-23 students. The current enrollment is less than 300 students. Garrison offers all day kindergarten. High school have the option of attending the Haldane High School in Cold Spring or the O'Neil High School across the river in Highland Falls, each fostering the support of individual initiative and strong community values.     Recreational Facilities Cultural Enrichment comes from two fine libraries; the Garrison Art Center; the Foundry School museum; Boscobel Restoration; the Philipstown Depot Theatre and the Paramount Theater.
