Educational Facilities
Featuring state and nationally designated “Schools of Excellence,” Mahopac Central School District has gained a widespread reputation for its use of computers in education. Mahopac’s three elementary schools use the National Geographic’s “Kids Network,” which allows children to communicate via computer networks. The Middle School uses a highly successful team-teaching approach, where a group of teachers work together to teach larger groups of children. Students can explore the solar galaxy at the school’s state-of-the-art planetarium. As approximately 85% of the high school’s graduates pursue higher education, Honors level, advanced placement and college credit courses are widely available.

Recreational Facilities
Lake Mahopac, a picturesque 6.5 mile lake and the largest of fifteen local lakes, was established as a popular resort for New York City’s elite in the 1800’s. Mahopac Falls was an essential location during the American Revolution and today is home to prime residential communities. Although the Mahopacs still remain a quiet summer getaway for some, for thousands more it has become a year-round home.
