The Village of Millbrook, a 19th century railroad center, is now the hub of local government, business and culture. The scenery and the peace and tranquility of this small-town picturesque community has attracted many celebrities to vacation or reside in the Millbrook area. The Village offers quaint stores, fine dining and most of all, desired amenities. Antiques and crafts are a traditional part of Millbrook. The Millbrook Antique Center and the Millbrook Antiques Mall provide multi-dealers, attracting antique lovers from afar. The village is only about 90 minutes from Manhattan and can easily be accessed via the Taconic Parkway, County Route 82 or by the Harlem Valley Train Line.
Educational Facilities
The Millbrook Central School system serves the Village residents. There are private/parochial schools in
the area: Dutchess Day School, the Millbrook School, St. Joseph's Elementary and Cardinal Hayes for Special Children.
Recreational Facilities
The countryside has many horse farms offering private lessons,
boarding and miles of riding trails. The Millbrook Golf and Tennis
Club has 9 holes of
superb golf, great tennis courts and club house.
The Trevor Zoo at the nearby Millbrook School is
a learning opportunity for adults and children and
includes a new environmental center.
Residents can take advantage of the town recreation
park which has a small lake with beach and
picnic tables.
Houses of Worship
Include Episcopal, Catholic and Quaker Reformed
Churches. There’s easy access to most all denominations.
